Everything you need to know about purchasing original artworks from mozgallery.

Purchasing

Are all artworks original?

Yes. Every artwork sold on mozgallery is a unique, hand-painted original by mozgallery. We do not sell prints, reproductions, or editions. Once a painting is sold, it is no longer available.

Can I purchase a sold-out painting?

Sold-out paintings can be commissioned as a personalised artwork inspired by the original. Visit the Commission a Painting page to request a quote. Each commission is unique and priced individually.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal, processed securely through our payment providers. We do not store your card details.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

All prices are displayed in EUR. VAT is applied where required by applicable law and will be shown at checkout before payment.

Make an Offer

How does the Make an Offer feature work?

Registered collectors can submit a private offer on selected artworks. To use this feature, create an account and log in — the “Make an Offer” button will appear on eligible artworks. Offers are reviewed individually and are not binding until accepted and paid.

How long does it take to receive a response to an offer?

We aim to respond to all offers within 3–5 business days. You will be notified by email whether your offer has been accepted, countered, or declined.

Is an accepted offer binding?

Yes. Once an offer is accepted and you complete payment, the purchase is binding and standard order, shipping, and returns terms apply.

Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship original artworks worldwide. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location.

How are artworks packaged?

Each painting is carefully packaged with protective materials designed for fine art transport. Larger canvases are crated where necessary to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.

How long does shipping take?

Standard artworks are dispatched within 5–10 business days of payment confirmation. Commissioned paintings have individual timelines agreed at the time of commission. For full details see our Shipping & Delivery page.

Will I need to pay customs duties?

Customs duties and import taxes may apply depending on your country. These are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the purchase price. We recommend checking your local customs regulations before placing an order.

Returns

Can I return a painting?

Under EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you have the right to withdraw from the purchase of a standard (non-commissioned) artwork within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason. The artwork must be returned in its original condition at your expense. A full refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned artwork.

Commissioned paintings are excluded from the right of withdrawal as they are personalised artworks made to order.

What if my artwork arrives damaged?

Please inspect your artwork upon delivery. If it arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours at [email protected] with photos of the damage. We will arrange collection at our expense and issue a full refund.

Commissions

How do I commission a painting?

Visit the Commission a Painting page and complete the request form with your ideas, preferred dimensions, and any reference images. We will get back to you with a personalised quote and timeline.

How much does a commission cost?

Commission prices are determined individually based on size, complexity, and technique. Submit a request to receive a tailored quote.

How long does a commission take?

Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the work. A typical commission takes between 4 and 12 weeks. We will agree on a specific timeline before starting work, and keep you updated with progress photos at key stages.

Artwork care

How should I care for my painting?

Original oil and acrylic paintings are durable when treated with care:

  • Hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading
  • Avoid damp or high-humidity environments
  • Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth — never use cleaning products
  • For professional cleaning or restoration, consult a qualified art conservator

Account and privacy

Do I need an account to purchase?

You can purchase as a guest. However, creating an account allows you to track your orders, access the “Make an Offer” feature, and manage your purchase history.

How is my personal data used?

Your data is used solely to process orders, manage your account, and — with your consent — for analytics and marketing. For full details see our Privacy Policy.
